February — The Library Board issues a Request for Qualifications for Architectural Services. 18 responses were received, and three finalists were selected by the Library Board.
May — Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) is awarded the architectural services contract to complete a master space plan.
October — The Library Board and SOM present the preliminary master space plan to the community.
December — The modified master space plan is approved by Library Board.
March — The Library Board hires Just Cause Consulting to help launch a capital campaign to help finance the renovation project.
September — The Village of Glencoe Zoning Commission will entertain a Special Use Permit for the proposed library renovation’s large program and community room.
September — The Village of Glencoe Plan Commission will conduct an external appearance review of the proposed library renovation.
November — The Village of Glencoe Board of Trustees will entertain accepting the Library Board’s pursuit of a bond to finance the library renovation.
March 17 — The target date for the bond referendum. The amount sought will depend on the success of prior fundraising efforts.
Autumn/Winter — The target for construction to begin.
December — The target date for project completion.
